Biomimicry is a systematic approach to innovation that seeks sustainable solutions to human challenges by emulating nature’s time-tested patterns and strategies. In addition to improve efficiency, reduce toxic pollution or waste of  resources, biomimicry emphasize on developing innovative applications with a holistic design thinking. The biological form, process and ecosystem are the basis of emulation, and the integration of function and systemic thinking has been the core. Such integration requires to be science-based, loyal to the interpretation of biological strategies and apply Life’s Principles as the design goal, inspiration and measurement. This time, the attendees will expect basic concepts and case studies of biomimicry, and to discover innovative inspiration and systematic thinking from the “function” of nature to achieve a circular system.
